What are hoarding graphics used for?
A hoarding runs along a public pavement for months or years, so it is one of the most visible surfaces a project has. Developers use it to show CGIs of the finished scheme, sales and letting details, and planning or community information. Contractors use it for site branding, safety messaging and contact details. Retailers put hoardings up in front of a store during a refit and use the graphics to tell customers what is coming and when.

What does our hoarding installation service cover?

Which material is best for construction hoarding graphics?
The right choice depends on how long the hoarding will be up, what it is made of and how exposed it is. As a general guide:

For longer projects outdoors, we recommend cast or high-performance exterior vinyl with a matching laminate. Cheaper calendered films can shrink and lift at the edges on a hoarding that sees full sun and rain. How does hoarding installation work?
- Consultation and quote. Send us drawings, photos or a site address and tell us the dates. We give you a free, no-obligation quote.
- Site survey. We measure every elevation and check access, pavement widths, board condition and any restrictions set by the principal contractor or local authority. Read more about our installation site surveys.
- Installation. Our team prepares the surface and fits the graphics, working early mornings, evenings or weekends where pavement access or site deliveries make daytime work difficult.
- Sign-off and aftercare. You receive photographs of the finished hoarding. We can then inspect and repair it for the life of the project.

Shopfront hoardings during a store refit
When a shop closes for a refit, the hoarding in front of it is the only thing passers-by see. A well-branded hoarding keeps the store in people’s minds and can announce the reopening date. These jobs often happen in shopping centres and on high streets with strict access windows, so we plan them alongside the rest of the store refit graphics programme and fit outside trading hours where the centre requires it.
Safety, insurance and site rules
Hoarding work happens next to live pavements and active construction sites. Our teams are fully trained and fully insured, we carry £10m public liability insurance, and we work to the health and safety requirements of each site, including risk assessments and method statements where the principal contractor asks for them. We keep the public walkway safe while we work.

Frequently asked questions
Can vinyl be applied directly to a timber hoarding?
Yes, provided the timber is sound, clean and painted or sealed. Bare or rough boards need preparation first, otherwise the vinyl will not bond well and may lift. We check this at survey stage.
Do you install graphics printed by another company?
Yes. Much of our hoarding work is fitting graphics supplied by printers, agencies and developers. We are happy to review the material spec before it goes to print.
How long do hoarding graphics last?
That depends on the vinyl, the laminate, the board surface and how exposed the site is. Exterior-grade vinyl with a laminate, fitted to a properly prepared hoarding, is made for long outdoor use. We can advise on the right material for your project length.
Can you repair damaged or vandalised hoarding graphics?
Yes. We replace damaged sections, remove graffiti where the laminate allows and reapply lifted edges. For urgent problems we offer a 24/7 emergency call-out, and for longer projects an annual maintenance contract.
Can you work outside normal hours?
Yes. We regularly install early in the morning, overnight and at weekends to fit around site deliveries, pavement restrictions or shopping centre access times.
